Panel on Environmental Justice

On Friday, August 11th, The Active Voice hosted a youth-led panel on environmental justice. Panellists responded to key findings from the Hickman climate study, which surveyed 10,000 young people in 100 different countries on the emotional and political impacts of the climate crisis. Topics included trust in government, the intersection of climate and systemic injustice, and how to ensure accountability in environmental efforts. The panel was followed by an open discussion with the audience, creating space for shared insights and community engagement. Watch the full discussion above!

Thank you to the UConn School of Law for hosting this event. We would also like to thank our funders, the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, and the Q Fund for allowing us to continue this critical
